Tilt and Turn Windows
For those who are indecisive, tilt and turn windows are perfect. They offer variety and versatility, as well as giving a beautiful look to any project. They let in the outside into your project, without the rain.
Tilt and turn windows boast two different ways of opening. Firstly, you can get them to tilt open by pushing the bottom of the window away from the frame. This is effective for getting fresh air into your project. If it starts to rain, you needn’t worry as the angle of the pane prevents your project from getting damp. They also have hingest at the side and can turn inwards like a door, giving you unrivalled ventilation.
By tilting outwards and turning inwards, this innovative design gives you the best of both worlds. Get some fresh air into your project without worrying about rain or intruders with the tilt, or swing your window fully open at the sides to fill your room with fresh air. Easy to look after, our tilt and turn windows are a firm favourite amongst our customers.

Are tilt and turn windows secure?
We understand that you may be worried about the security of tilt and turn windows due to their two openings and two locking mechanisms. However, our tilt and turn windows are engineered to the same level of safety as our other windows, abiding by the standards of the police-led initiative. To help you adjust, we will demonstrate how to use the windows, including their locking system, after we have installed them.
How do you use a tilt and turn window?
Depending on what you are seeking, tilt and turn windows can open in two different ways. To allow a little air into your project, simply tilt the window open at the bottom and you won’t be preoccupied with security or rain. This mechanism opens narrowly, so outsiders won’t be able to get in through the window. The angled nature of the window means any rain is directed away from the frame, regardless of wind. If you require a breeze to cool summer days, you can turn the window on its side hinge to bring it inwards and allow the breeze to sweep in.
Do tilt and turn windows open inwards or outwards?
These windows open both inwards and outwards but have different ways of doing so. For example, one mechanism allows you to tilt it outwards for small amounts of air but maximising security and rain-proof protection. The other mechanism opens inwards on a side hinge to give you thorough ventilation. By having these two opening mechanisms, you remain in control of how you want them to open based on your needs.
How big can a tilt and turn window be?
The size of the tilt and turn window is completely up to you. We can create windows which blend and fit well with your project at our state-of-the-art factory. This includes small bathroom windows or a stunning floor to ceiling centrepiece.
How do tilt and turn windows work?
Tilt and turn windows have two different opening directions which are structured perpendicularly. One hinge is located at the top or the bottom, depending on what you would prefer, and allows for you to tilt it outwards slightly. The other hinge is on the side, opening inwards and is flexible in how much you can open it. Multifunctional tilt and turn windows are made for you to have value and choice within a sleek, secure, and well-made build.
What are the advantages of tilt and turn windows?
The control of tilt and turn windows have made them highly desirable and a popular installation, giving you constant ventilation management. They are the main window option all over mainland Europe for this reason. Whilst windows may only provide a tilt opening or a side hinge, tilt and turn windows give you both for a similar price. You don’t have to sacrifice anything with this option, letting you ventilate your project whether it’s sunny or raining. Perfect for both sleepy summer evenings and drizzly days.
