Roof Trim & Fascias

  • Let our expertly made roof trim and fascias provide your project with that little bit of beauty. Simply choose your colour and style to create the perfect finish for your project.

Fascias refer to the boards at the bottom edge of your roof, found both at the front and back of your property. Practically, they provide support to the lower roof tiles and give the guttering a secure basis to attach onto. Cleverly designed, our fascias will ensure your rafters remain moisture-free and your property without damp.

Roof trim adds an aesthetic finish to your project whilst protecting your roof from moisture. It follows the length of your project and ensures your roof can perform to the best of its ability.

Crown Commercial Windows’ roof trim and fascias can be made to work with any property, with quality and longevity guaranteed.  From clean white to sophisticated darker colours, you’ll be able to choose the colour of your roof trim and fascias to match your house tiling if you so wish. Alternatively, you can use them to add a burst of accent colour to your project.

Common Questions

What is a fascia?

Fascias are boards inserted all along the roofline. From the outside, they are visible to the eye and add a nice finishing touch to your project. Aside from this, they hold guttering in place, protect your roof, and prevent mould and damp from entering your project. Damp can cause your wooden fascias to rot if they haven’t been looked after properly. In this case, replacing them is your best option if you want to ensure your project remains protected. Contact us today for a free, no-obligation quote.

What does roof trim include?

Roof trims are relevant to several products including fascias, cladding, soffits, and guttering downpipes. Generally though, the term roof trim refers to roof edge protection. Your roof edge is exposed to outdoor weather, so you need to ensure damp doesn’t get into your roof. Excess damp can, in a worst-case scenario, begin to damage your internal property structure. If you have enquiries related to roof trim, contact us today and we can organise a project visit to look over your project’s existing roof trim.

What is the difference between bargeboard, soffit and fascias?

Whilst the fascia is a board that runs along the lower edge of your roof to protect your lower tiles and guttering from the natural outdoors, the soffit is visible from the ground and connects the fascia to the wall. Bargeboards are utilised on a project’s gable end — also known as the pyramid-shaped front of the house. Whilst it isn’t as important as your fascia in preventing moisture from getting into your house, it does give bundles of style which you can tailor to complement the rest of your roof.

How long do roof trim and fascias last?

The material used determines the lifespan of roof trim and fascias, but they can last for several years without any degradation. Wooden roof trim and fascias are commonly used on more traditional properties, which can rot if you don’t keep up with the required maintenance. Nowadays, much of the roof trim seen on houses is made from uPVC which is long-lasting and low maintenance. We recommend uPVC to most projectowners because once installed, you don’t have to think about them again for many years.
